It works well but, the bottom of the screen hangs on the carpet whenever my dog comes inside. The bottom needs to be more flexable to prevent this.

I bought this hanging screen for 2 reasons, to be able to leave my french doors open during summer for the breeze, and to use during entertaining. I found that I had to jerry-rig the hanging of the rod so that it wouldn't fall each time people walked through the opening. The tension rod didn't quite cut it, and the hardware included needs to be screwed into the wood frame (so I didn't use it). I'd say this screen works best if you don't plan on walking through the opening very often.
